Sorry it's been a while since I've posted. Lots of personal things going on, you know how it is.
I decided to post a newer show since it appears that I can't post directly to the site without paying more money to upgrade my video allotment on this site, which I don't have. Instead, I can post to YouTube as long as I don't post covers (which is most of my old shows), and then link here. Why do things have to be so complex? That's another reason why it's taken me so long to post anything.
After 4AM Coffee in Carrollton closed, I was pretty bummed and looking for a new place to play. I was having a beer with friends at Local Ties, a new brewery in Carrollton, one night when we were talking to the owner Alex Griffin. He mentioned he wanted live music, but he didn't want folks doing covers. Seemed like a perfect fit! I don't mind playing covers, but if someone wants only original music, I'm happy to oblige!
So this was my first gig there, I've since played 2 more and hope to do more. This was the first outing of several new songs like Good Catastrophe and Suitcase & a Smile. Those two especially seemed like good ones for the kind of crowd at Local Ties. I also introduced Save It For the Hospital, which a lot of folks really seemed to like. Honestly, this was one of my favorite shows to do, and it sounded pretty good. Thanks to Mark Lyle for loaning me the amp. I also played with my Fender Acoustasonic for the first time.
