Spiritual Guidance
My primary vocation is that of priest in the Episcopal Church. Part of the work I do is to offer Spiritual Guidance (aka Spiritual Direction) to anyone who is seeking to deepen their connection with the Holy, no matter what faith tradition they may be.
What is Spiritual Guidance?
Spiritual Guidance is an ancient form of conversation between you and someone who deeply listens to where the Spirit is moving in your life. The Holy Spirit is the true "director" of the conversation, the Spiritual Guide just points you in the right direction. For centuries, people of all faith traditions would seek out the wisdom of mothers and fathers who would often simply listen and gently offer questions or reflections to help the individual gain some clarity. Those with doubts, struggles, confusion, or trouble seeing the next step in where God is calling are usually in need of spiritual guidance. Also, those who serve in ministry, as lay or clergy, often seek spiritual guidance as part of their own self-care.

Sessions are usually about 45 minutes to an hour once a month. They can be done in person or online. All conversations are highly confidential. If there is need of work that goes beyond the realm of spiritual guidance, I will refer to you to someone who has other skills like a therapist.
Sessions are $75 each, however, I also use a sliding scale for people who are not able to cover that cost. One should never let a cost deter them from receiving the spiritual help they are seeking.

I have been a recipient of Spiritual Guidance for over 20 years, and a practitioner since 2022. My training comes from the Shalem Institute's Spiritual Guidance program. As an ordained Episcopal priest, I also have a Masters of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary and over 20 years of pastoral experience.
