Ah...the pandemic. That wonderful time when everything stopped, including live music. Well, in that lonely time, I spent a lot of time writing and thinking about how whenever Covid-19 lifted, I wanted to start playing again. When I moved to Carrollton, I didn't immediately find a place that I could plug into. But when 4AM Coffee moved over the old Maple Street Mansion, that became the perfect spot to perform. I had been going to 4AM regularly, and became friends with owner Shane Galloway. I offered to play whenever he felt it was safe to open back up, and he was eager to get folks in again. He is also a great lover of music and we have very similar tastes, so he was very gracious to let me play.
So I started playing just about every week there and found a great rhythm to performing again after so long. I am so grateful to Shane and the good folks at 4AM who supported me during that time. And to all the folks who came out and listened when it was a still very turbulent time in our community.
My first show was March 12, but I didn't record it because it was my first and I knew it wouldn't be good. More of a dress rehearsal. So here is this one from March 19. I didn't even use an amp or mic because the acoustics are so great in that spot.
There are 3 videos because I though the first one wasn't recording. Haha!
