This week's concert is the next in the series I did during the pandemic at 4AM Coffee Roasters Cafe (of blessed memory). I did these shows during the day and had some really great local crowds who were coming in for food and coffee. I loved being able to have a weekly gig for a while, and it really helped me get back in the swing of performing.

I was able to play a ton of different songs each week, too, and try new things out, including covers I had never done before. This set includes some rare appearances like Retro Dress, Sweater Weather, Let Go, and Congratulations, I'm Sorry. I'm not sure I've played those any other times. The covers included are songs by Tom Petty, the Decemberists, Bob Dylan, Bon Iver, Ryan Adams, the Tallest Man on Earth, Son Volt, Johnny Cash, R.E.M., & Peter Gabriel. I also did a cover of a song by a songwriting friend from Chattanooga, Anthony Quails. John Harvey Walker is a great song that mirrors the sacrifice of Christ. In other words, it's an appropriate song for Good Friday. You can find that song on his live album Parables.
